The WH1000XM5s battery life is 30 hours when noise cancellation is turned on and the battery life is identical to previous generations. 40 hours when it's off is only one or two hours less than the ones offered by competitors. The headphones come with a soft carrying bag that protects the headphones from dust, scratches and impacts.
